Chicago Academy for the Arts students debut TV pilot at Music Box Theatre

In March 2020, pupils at the Chicago Academy for the Arts were getting ready for their impending Media Arts Showcase in which learners would exhibit the imaginative jobs they had been functioning on to the general public. Due to the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic, the learners have been forced to place their show on hold. Now, a lengthy two a long time later, learners in the significant school’s media arts system are premiering their tv demonstrate pilot, Stitched Together, on the massive screen at Music Box Theatre.

The course received inspiration from comedic sitcoms like Local community and The Contemporary Prince of Bel-Air, a diversion from the extra typical dramatic and horror-aligned assignments the faculty experienced showcased in the previous. Pupils split into a writers’ room and pre-output group through the starting levels of creation.

“It was so sold out that we had people sitting down on the flooring, we experienced people in the hallways cramming in,” claimed Meliza. “The previous few of yrs we have been owning displays at property, we experienced our exhibit on campus this [school] 12 months, but this is going to be the grand return to our [spring] clearly show.”

This 7 days, the students’ pilot will debut in Audio Box’s much larger theater for the very first time.
