Highland Park shooting victim Steve Straus loved arts, Chicago

Steve Straus, 88, was an excellent joke-teller, an avid reader and a “culture vulture” who appreciated the creative fruits of the Art Institute and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, family customers mentioned Tuesday. “I’m a psychologist, and so my emotion is that there are several people today with undiagnosed and untreated psychological health problems that are, from time to time, sometimes, gun owners, and that the blend is as lethal as I uncovered yesterday,” Straus stated.

“I do truly feel like civilians owning military weapons is absurd,” he stated.
