Old Cars Reader Wheels: 1957 Dual Ghia

Ed Blumenthal is the happy proprietor of this immaculate ’57 Dual Ghia. The automobile was a ‘barn find’ back in 1995 and soon after undertook a ten-year restoration. The car has been a standard at Concours d’Elegances close to the United States.

Ed added a little bit of history for us on his Dual Ghia #137 …

“In the early 1950‘s, Eugene Casaroll, who owned Dual Motors Corporation, acquired the legal rights to Chrysler’s “Dodge Firearrow” principle autos that were being intended by Virgil Exner and crafted by Italian coachbuilder Ghia. By 1956 the Twin-Ghia was in manufacturing as a 1957 design and grew to become known as the “car of the stars”. General performance was great because of to many of the cars and trucks, including this 1, remaining powered by the Significant-General performance Dodge Hemi D-500, a 315 V8. Full creation was only 117 of which fewer than half keep on being now. This automobile is certainly a “barn find””, having been put into a barn in the early 60’s and remaining there right up until rescued in 1995!”
