Boston schools award record $17M food service contract to Black-owned business

The Boston Community Universities on Tuesday announced a report $17 million foods service agreement with Metropolis Fresh Foods to provide breakfast, lunch, soon after-university foods, snacks and summer months meals to the city’s educational institutions.

The contract is the biggest non-development agreement the metropolis has awarded to a Black-owned business enterprise.
