Temporary street closures in downtown Oklahoma City for Festival of the Arts

OKLAHOMA Town (KFOR) – Downtown Oklahoma Town will have non permanent road closures just before, during and just after the Competition of the Arts.

The Pageant of the Arts will be held April 19-24 in Bicentennial Park in between Civic Centre Songs Corridor and Metropolis Corridor.

Streets bordering Bicentennial Park will near April 8 and reopen April 30, in accordance to City of Oklahoma City officials.

“Drivers should really permit additional time downtown throughout the closures,” metropolis officials claimed.

The adhering to streets will be closed:

  • Walker Avenue – Northbound from Major Road to Sofa Drive and southbound from Robert S. Kerr Avenue to Most important Road. The Arts District Garage will be available from Walker Avenue to Latting Circle.
  • Lee Avenue – Northbound from Major Street to Couch Drive with alley entry. Northbound and southbound from Colcord Travel to Couch Generate.
  • Colcord Generate – Eastbound from Lee Avenue to Walker Avenue.
  • Couch Generate – Westbound from Walker Avenue to Lee Avenue.

“On-street parking bordering Bicentennial Park will not be accessible though the streets are closed. Pedestrian accessibility to Bicentennial Park and Civic Center New music Hall will be maintained,” officers stated.
