Tim Allen pays tribute to Home Enhancement character Wilson in Past Person Standing sneak peek

Tim Allen will honor a beloved character from his ’90s sitcom Dwelling Improvement in the course of the distinctive Final Person Standing crossover episode airing Thursday night time on Fox.

In the episode, titled “Twin Time,” Mike Baxter (Allen) has a tete-a-tete with Tim Taylor (also performed by Allen), a property repairman who could be his twin. The Resource Guy delivers up Wilson, his former neighbor who only confirmed half his confront peeking higher than the picket fence that divided their qualities through their a lot of backyard conversations.

Wilson was portrayed by Earl Hindman across 202 Home Advancement episodes that aired between 1991 and 1999. The actor died of lung cancer in 2003, at 61.

In the unique clip earlier mentioned, Mike asks Tim, “Who was Wilson?”

“A person of my neighbors, really,” Tim replies. “For a lot of, lots of decades, I shared a lot of stuff with him. He passed absent.” He later on adds, “I miss out on Wilson. I miss a large amount of things.”

Allen tells EW of the tribute, “Earl intended the earth to me and anyone at Residence Improvement. It was an organic second to settle on, equally on the set and in our hearts.”

Fox introduced in Oct that the ninth year of Previous Male Standing, which kicked off Jan. 3, would be its past. The time premiere launched a series of time jumps that observed Mike and his wife, Vanessa (Nancy Travis), with two new grandchildren, and also coping with possessing their center daughter, Mandy (Molly McCook), and her spouse, Kyle (Christoph Sanders), dwelling with them.
